DiversityInc recently announced that Toyota ranked 36^th in the publications tenth annual diversity survey. The automaker was previously ranked 40 and competed against 449 other companies in this years survey. Companies are rated by data obtained through a detailed survey conducted by DiversityInc. Companies included in the top 50 share the following strengths: CEO Commitment, Human Capital, Corporate and Organizational Communications, and Supplier Diversity.

Toyota recently awarded a $600,000 grant to the Rochester School District that will help parents of students earn their GED certificates. 30 Rochester School District parents have been volunteering in their children's classroom as part of the grant program. Parents assist the teachers, work with the children and take classes of their own while at the school.
