This can be easily seen in the recent celebration that Toyota held for its West Virginia plant in honor of fifteen years of solid production.

At the plant's celebration, the employees of Toyota Motor Manufacturing, West Virginia, Inc. (TMMWV) gave back to the community in a big way by collecting donations to benefit a handful of good causes. These range from various city organizations to non-profit groups that work to make our lives easier each day.

Overall, the donations totaled out at almost $100,000 and they were divided amongst groups like the Multifest Cultural Festival, Marshall University, City of Buffalo, Buffalo Fire Department, Eleanor Fire Department, and the Putnam County Career & Technical Center. "Toyota supports the communities where it does business, not only monetarily, but, also, through volunteer efforts by our team members," said Mike Lutz, General Manager, TMMWV.¹

Originally founded in 1996, Toyota Motor Manufacturing, West Virginia, Inc. employed around 250 workers. Since then, the plant has gone on to quadruple in size, now employing almost 1,000 workers, producing nearly 8.6-million transmissions in its lifetime.
