MS FUNDRAISER

Jon Lancaster Toyota had its Annual MS Fundraiser on July 21, 2010. We had over 250 guests, about 1/3 of the guests brought in their bikes for a free bike tune up. The bike techs from Atkins Verona Bicycle Shoppe donated their time to make sure riders would be safe. Also REI was on location talking about before, during and after ride nutrition.  Lastly the Endurance House was on location to talk about Tri cycling sports.

Our famous bike raffle raised $2,350 for the Wisconsin Chapter for MS. This year's prize was a Trek 2.3 road bike and we sold 450 tickets to both Jon Lancaster Toyota employees and guests of our dealership. Our team members purchased 2/3 of the tickets. August 6 at 6:15pm a guest of Jon Lancaster Toyota picked the lucky winner.  Russ F. of Madison WI.  When Russ came to pick up his bike he broke into tears. He then told me his dear friend died of MS. I asked Russ him if he would like to join our Jon Lancaster Toyota Team and ride the blue route next year on his new bike. He told me there's a good chance. 

This year we had the newest cycling gear for our silent auction. I would like to thank Planet Bike, The Endurance House, REI, Road ID, elite Nutrition, Saris and Cycle Ops. 

I would like to also thank our food venders Pizza Hut of Southern Wisconsin, Potbelly Sandwich Works, Clif Bar, Quench Gum and Texas Road House for your support and donations.
